A Good Man Card

If you are like me, making cards for guys can be a struggle. The sketch art images and thoughtful greetings make the A Good Man stamp set perfect for those elusive guy cards for Father's Day, thank yous, and birthdays.

The images look great alone, with a watercolor wash background, or coloured with Watercolor Pencils or Stampin' Blends, so you have lots of options.

The Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper is the perfect backdrop for masculine cards, with or without a nautical theme. Enjoy!

Card Base & Inside

Cut Night of Navy cardstock to 5-1/2" x 7-3/4". Score at 4-1/4" along 7-3/4" side. The shorter section is the card front. Cut striped paper to 1" x 5-1/2". Adhere to inside right edge. Add 3" x 5-1/4" Whisper White paper inside card.

Stamp & Colour

Stamp image from A Good Man stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on 2" x 4" Whisper White cardstock. Colour with Watercolor Pencils. Colour lightly and add more colour to shades areas of the design.

Blend Watercolor Pencils

Use a Blender Pen to blend and shade the stamped image coloured with Watercolor Pencils. Start with the lightest colour. Scribble on scrap paper to clean the Blender Pen between colours. Use Watercolor Pencils to add more detail or shading as needed.

Stamp & Punch

Stamp greeting on scrap Balmy Blue cardstock with Night of Navy ink. Punch with Timeless Label Punch. Add adhesive behind label and zig-zag 3/16" Braided Linen Trim across the back of the label.

Assemble Card

Adhere 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" striped paper to card front. Adhere stamped and coloured Whisper White layer to 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" Night of Navy layer. Adhere layers and label to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
