inspirational pants

The pants and the cards that followed. Happy Birthday Jilian and Dhat! You're two now! All images copyright Stampin'Up! I am not sure how happy I am with these cards but we have two birthday parties for tomorrow. When I picked out these pants for Jilian I thought about Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Red, and Bashful Blue and decided I would make a card with those colours so here are my efforts. Today I was let loose in Please Mum to get the gifts and more....It was so exciting. Marvin got a warm jacket and I just pray and remind constantly that he won't lose this one. It is huge on him so it should last a long time if it doesn't get left on the ferries or at the community center, playground, children's festival, football game, you get the idea. I think I could have used a different stamp set for the pants matching card but I am tired and Pocket Silhouettes was handy and screaming to be used.

Much Better

New Colours! New papers! I love the new Idea Book & Catalogue for the Fall and Winter Season of 2008 and 2009. Karina and I brainstormed to come up with this one which was inspired by this card on Splitcoast Stampers by Stacey. Check out her blog here! Karina and I oogled over her card and then whipped out our Bella Rose Papers, some textured cardstocks being Red Riding Hood, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette and some of the coordinating Inks and with the Eastern Blooms set, Ruby Red ink, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Heat and Stick powder and some brads we came up with the card pictured. Finally

Here's a card I started last Friday night and completed this Friday evening. When I started I only knew the size and colours and layout I wanted. This week I chose the set and got started. Big Bold Birthday with Creamy Carmel, Close to Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, and Pacific Point Cardstock and Inks from SU! Also used: Organza Ribbon, Scallop Punch and circle punches. I used the Kissing technique and some crooked stamping. Not my very best work but I guess I am out of practice and I was very tired both Fridays. Hmmm, I better get some rest while I can.
