Ribbons and Gift Wrapping Techniques written by Kim Vallee Forgot the typical Christmas ribbons and bows that you buy at the drugstore. This year make an impression with an array of ribbons. I thought this would be the perfect place to try out the dip-dyed look. So here’s what I came up with:  Now instead of actually dyeing the pencils, I used our colored Stampin’ Emboss Powders ( US / CAN ) to create the same look. They were so simple to make ! I just rolled the pencil in  VersaMark ink  and poured the embossing powder over the pencil. Then I used my  Heat Tool  to emboss it.   I just love how the colored embossing gave the pencils the perfect pop of color! There are so many ideas that can come from just everyday life.
