Stampin'Up! Cutter Kit
The Cutter Kit includes several different tools: a rotary blade that works like an exacto type knife, a scoring tool, a perforating tool and a 7-sided paper distressing tool. The catalogue says: Use this convenient and portable cutter kit for all of your projects on the go! I have to admit that when I first saw this tool I imagined myself stuck in the forest or jungle somewhere just needing to make a card or do some scrapbooking and not having my fiskar's cutter handy. I thought when would I really use all the tools provided and why do they come on a key chain, so you can take it camping? The tools are attached to a key chain and in a vinyl ziplock for easy portability. The part that pushed me over the edge was the perforating tool. I love the idea of being able to make a perforated edge that can be torn just like junk mail! It works good for making a bookmark card. Also it can be used with ink to make a trail or sewing like pattern. The distressing tool is the whole reason I purchased this Cutter Kit in the first place and it works much better than using and dulling your scissor's blade. The rotary blade and scoring tool can both be used along a ruler or around the edge of something round if you need to make a curved cut or a curved line for scoring. I really like how easy it is to use and the results that can be achieved. The tools are quite sharp so one must be careful and always use a cutting mat or something to protect your work surface. This product is not intended to replace a paper cutter and works best with a thin metal edged ruler. I love this tool!
