Photos from the Crop n'Howl in Coquitlam on the weekend was fun! Look at the two Dorothys! Dunja is the Dorthy on the left with her little doggie in a basket. Too bad they don't allow real dogs because her dad's dog looks just like Toto. I painted a bunch of ping pong balls to look like eyeballs. I am not sure why I was messing around with the paint and brushes when i could have used a steadier hand with permanent markers! Oh well, I also found an eyeball necklace from the dollar store and threw on a skeleton apron and a bone necklace. I was happy I dressed up anyway. Dora made a great witch and Barb was a cute bunny and I loved seeing Karen as a nun! Jo won a prize for best costume and boy did she scrap it fast! Izzy looks slinky doesn't she? The first photo is Carrie and Sarah who I went to Sunday School with when I was ten years old. I was in the group for a while before I realized who they were. I love Halloween!

It was a long drive but I was in good company with {right to left} Ester, Dunja and Lillian. What a fun group! We shared and we learned and we stamped and we shopped. The convention center was really large and beautiful inside with sculptures and more.

The Cutter Kit includes several different tools: a rotary blade that works like an exacto type knife, a scoring tool, a perforating tool and a 7-sided paper distressing tool. The catalogue says: Use this convenient and portable cutter kit for all of your projects on the go! I have to admit that when I first saw this tool I imagined myself stuck in the forest or jungle somewhere just needing to make a card or do some scrapbooking and not having my fiskar's cutter handy. I thought when would I really use all the tools provided and why do they come on a key chain, so you can take it camping? The tools are attached to a key chain and in a vinyl ziplock for easy portability. The part that pushed me over the edge was the perforating tool. I love the idea of being able to make a perforated edge that can be torn just like junk mail! It works good for making a bookmark card. Not everyone sends out Halloween cards. I have always sent a few as has my friend Daniela. I received hers yesterday but even though some of mine have been made they are sitting next to the thank-you notes still unsent from Anastasia's birthday and the moving cards for Delaine that will probably end of for Barb. Some of them are waiting for stamps or photos but that is no excuse. I had better get my butt moving for mailing out these Halloween cards and quick. Some are from last year even because they didn't get used up! My favorite thing to make at Halloween is F A V O R S! I will keep you posted.

Here's a new and improved version of the card that holds tea bags, gift cards, and the like. We made it at the Stampin'Up! regionals in Portland Oregon on October 13th. We used the new big eyelets and the new So Much stamp set we were given. They gave us some nifty instructions on how to use the Crop-A-Dile and now I can't wait to get one. Also I like the colours used on this card especially the Sahara Sand with the red, blue and yellow. I love cards that can hold a little something because sometimes you want to give someone a little something but don't have the need, the time, the energy or the funds to go out and get a gift to go along with the card which would also need to be wrapped or packaged separately.

more from Portland We were lucky enough to be given the set So Much on our way in the door. We quickly assembled the set and got to work stamping and cutting and more! Here are some of the projects we worked on with that and another set True Friend . All images copyright Stampin'Up! We spent the whole day watching demonstrations and looking at samples and learning new techniques and how to use different tools. It was fun even though I was a bit tired. They gave us a lovely boxed lunch and provided us with lots of business ideas. We also swapped cards with other demonstrators and guests. All in all it was definitely worth the trip and we made some new friends to boot! I was really inspired to attend the 2008 convention in Utah as well as if I didn't want to before...

Turkey, turkey, and more turkey! Are we ever full of turkey. We've been eating turkey soup, curry with turkey, dahl with turkey, burritos with turkey, turkey sandwiches, pho made with turkey and all kinds of turkey. The mashed potatoes, carrots, gravy and cranberry jelly were easy to use up. I think it's getting a little late to keep eating the turkey now... Here's the one and only Thanksgiving card I was given by Karina. Isn't it cute! The arms are cut out and popped a little attached using black eyelets. It's the combination of details and the coordinating papers with the vivid colouring and adorable image that i like.
